Long Island Iced Tea

Unlike some of the Classic Cocktails such as Manhattan or Martini which date back some 100 years, the Long Island Iced Tea made it´s first appearance in the late 1979´s.

Some claim that the Long Island Iced Tea was invented in the 1920´s making drink significantly older than originally thought and placing the birth in the middle of the Prohibition, in an area of secrecy, smuggling, gangsters, shootouts and undercover "dry agents" the illegal consumption of alcohol was kept very low key.
